Problem Statement

Security with an intuitive interface : Blockchain wallets often present steep learning curves for non-technical users. Oasis Network seeks to create a wallet that combines robust security with an intuitive interface, fostering wider adoption of its cryptocurrency and ecosystem.

The objective

To design and develop "Rose Wallet," a secure, intuitive, and efficient blockchain wallet enabling users to store, manage, and interact with Oasis Network's cryptocurrency (ROSE) and decentralized applications (dApps).

The Old Interface landing : has multiple issues :
  1. Lack of context & guidance

    • The options "Ledger Nano" and "Oasis address" are highly technical terms.

      • A new or non-technical user may not know what they mean, how they differ, or which one they should choose.

      • There’s no explanation of what will happen after selecting an option, or what’s required (e.g., hardware wallet plugged in, existing account).

  2. Missing hierarchy & emphasis

    • Both sign-in methods are given equal visual weight, but the primary or most common method should be emphasized to guide users.

    • No default recommendation is given (e.g., “Recommended for most users” under one option).

Target Audience

  • Primary: Cryptocurrency enthusiasts, traders, and dApp users.

  • Secondary: Developers and businesses building on the Oasis Network.

Transforming an outdated, unclear design into a modern experience built for the blockchain era.

Outcomes

The redesign of Rose Wallet successfully transformed it into a secure, intuitive, and modern blockchain wallet tailored for the Oasis Network. Through user research and iterative testing, we simplified complex blockchain interactions into a clean, guided experience that both beginners and advanced users could trust.
